DPS&C Renala Khurd

Principal’s Messages

To Students
DPS and its entire staff are for you. We all want to develop your mind and character. We want you to grow into good human beings and practicing Muslims. We also desire to see you thinking creatively as well as positively. You can achieve your goals in life by working hard with a sense of proportion. Finally, you must always uphold our religious and social values. You be good and the society will automatically be good.

To Teachers
Who says teaching is tough and boring? Some say its brain tonic while a few others find it refreshing altogether. It’s tough if you continue as tellers and keep insisting on cramming. It’s boring if you keep it repetitive and hence monotonous. On the other hand, it’s a brain tonic if you yourself keep learning and reflecting. And, its refreshing if you give the students freedom to think and question, and thus participate in co-construction of knowledge. Seeing teaching as boring or refreshing is basically a question of your paradigm. So, shift your paradigm and be happy teachers.

To Parents

Research indicates that 60 percent of school success is the result of parental involvement. It is also true that your child’s most important teacher during the elementary school years is you-the parent. Most education does not take place in the classroom. Children also learn from everything they do outside the school-from playing games, dining with family, working with computer, even watching TV. Each parent has many crucial roles to play: a tutor and behavioural role model at home, an advocate at school, a cheerleader on the academic sidelines. Please remember that kids say what they hear and do what they see. So the moral is: Talk to yourselves before you talk to or about your children.
